Raising Up the Fourth Generation

As our ministry approaches its 30 year anniversary, we find ourselves facing a new wave of adverse weather and economic downturns that bring fresh obstacles. However, we remain steadfast in our mission, as it is a calling from God and a path paved by our predecessors who have handed over the baton to us.

SALT has now been passed down through three generations since the 1990s. To fulfill the calling of the Lord, we are actively training young fourth-generation co-workers, hoping that they will continue the legacy and carry the flame into the future.

To achieve this goal, leaders Ningo and Music have traveled great distances multiple times over the past year to teach our novice team members, enhancing their skills in teaching and editing. Thanks be to God—these training sessions have yielded remarkable results. Seeing the growth in these young people brings immense gratitude. Please keep them in your prayers so that they may successfully take up the mantle and shoulder the important responsibilities of teaching and editing.

The lack of young successors is not only an issue for SALT but also a challenge faced by churches here. In recent years, increasing pressures of daily life have led to a decline in the number of young church attendees, especially those willing to serve full-time. This makes our work all the more urgent—to help churches everywhere cultivate more individuals who are committed to being “workers who do not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”

May the church stand firm through the storms and trials.
