Families are being transformed at SALT’s training site Beef where senior trainer David recently taught our practical course, Christian Home. This course helps believers in East Asia to better understand and practice biblical principles of marriage and parenting.

One sister gratefully reported back, “My husband had not yet trusted in the Lord, but he attended the course with me. During the course, he was deeply moved. Afterwards, he committed his life to Christ! When we returned home, he was so excited to share with friends about his new-found faith. Thank the Lord!”

Another student resolved, “I used to only have a superficial knowledge of biblical views on marriage. I was unclear about the purpose of marriage and family. This damaged my relationship with my spouse, and also affected our children. This course gave me a wake-up call, making me realize that I need to establish my family on a foundation of love according to God’s ways. I need to realign my family with His will.” 

 

David summed up, “The training yielded remarkable results, with many students testifying how this course significantly improved their family relationships.” He further emphasized the primary goal of the course, i.e. transference, “When students finish the course, they are encouraged to pass onto other believers what they have learned. Praise the Lord, all 20 participants accomplished this mission!”

We rejoice over this student’s sharing: “I felt incredibly nervous while transferring the course, as the task seemed so formidable. However, I ended up gaining so much from this experience. Reviewing and preparing the course material again after completing the training not only solidified my understanding but also helped me discern the difference between preaching and teaching. This insight will greatly benefit my own ministry in the future.”
