1992

Biblical training started in East Asia

A few foreign missionaries taught some Bible courses in the country.

Began to teach the first tailor-made course

First SALT course: Old Testament Survey, 100 Steps (OT 100)

SALT was registered in CA

Co-founders: Steve Torgerson, Steve Wible and Cary Clifton

Formed the first national team (four trainers)

Growing ministries

Created eight SALT courses, new trainers and new training locations

Teaching in 15 training sites

Expanded SALT courses teaching to other Asian countries

SALT courses were taught in the Philippines.
Later our trainers trained rural pastors in Vietnam, Nepal and Myanmar.

First curriculum written by national trainers

The national team had written the first curriculum called Practical Church Management.

2012

SALT courses are accredited by MBTS

Signed MOU with MBTS (Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary)

Launched the 30th SALT course – Church History

2016
2018

Started the Three-Year Certificate Program in East Asia

CoreStory was published

Redeveloped the OT 100 and NT 100 to help equipping Asian pastors.

NOTE: Steve Wible retired and relocated to the US.

CoreStory was translated into four languages

Completed the first phase of the translations include Vietnamese, Burmese, Khmer, and Thai.

Started to review and revise the content of old SALT courses
